1. High School HR Intern - The Arc Wayne

Description: The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, a Human Services Agency, is hiring immediately entry-level per diem/relief High School Students for Experiential Learning Internships, high school internship for fall 2023. You will be able to choose what Program(s) you would like to intern in, which include our Residential Services, Day Services, and/or Community Services Programs. High School Student Intern Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in High School and be 17 years of age.

Prefer interns that are interested in transitioning to a scheduled position upon turning age 18.

Ability to physically assist individuals who use wheelchairs and/or walkers.

Located in beautiful northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. The Fall/Spring High School Internship Program provides qualified northern New Mexico high school seniors the opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience, while receiving exposure to a variety of career fields. Students who participate in this program have the opportunity to intern during the fall and/or spring semesters of their senior year.

Description: W. W. Norton is looking for interns to participate in our twelve-week internship program. Our internship program provides participants with an engaging, supportive, and hands-on learning experience in publishing that includes brown bag lunch sessions and networking within the intern class. Your work if you become a Norton intern with the High School Editorial team may include the following:

  • Reading manuscripts and proofs at various stages of publication for the 2024 front list to help editors and authors improve the quality of print and media content

  • Compiling materials and preparing manuscripts for reviews and production

  • Learning the basics of copyediting and proofreading

  • Tracking author submissions for ancillaries and digital media such as Instructor Manuals, Test Banks, and Course-Planning and Pacing Guides - organizing uploaded manuscript, keeping projects on schedule

  • Testing digital products to ensure a quality user experience for high school students and instructors

  • Weekly progress check-ins with the intern manager

Description: We are currently seeking creative and self-motivated high school juniors and seniors interested in the world of web development for our exciting internship opportunity. Our intern will learn and grow their knowledge of web development, focusing on the Duda platform. Our goal is to provide a learning experience that translates into practical skills and real-world insights into the technology industry. Perfect for High School junior or senior with an interest in web development, computer science, or related field. Description: Nidec Press & Automation is seeking a High School student pursing Electrical Engineering for their career and someone who wants to advance their knowledge by gaining hands-on work experience. Job responsibilities will primarily consist of CAD drawings, documenting designs, and problem solving in a team environment under the mentorship of an experienced engineer. This paid position is a great opportunity to build a portfolio of professional work, get experience publishing content in traditional print publications, online and through social media and help tell the amazing stories happening in the school district.

Description: Created in 2008, the Introductory College Level Experience in Microbiology (iCLEM) program provides Bay Area youth from communities traditionally underrepresented in the sciences with paid research internships in state-of-the-art labs. iCLEM targets high potential, under-resourced high school students who have a deep interest in science or engineering and for whom this program would provide the critical difference in pursuing a higher education degree and a career in science. The high teacher-to-student ratio ensures intensive hands-on assistance for students in both the lab and classroom throughout the workday. In addition to training the students in basic science and research, the program exposes students to industry field trips, career exploration, and preparation for the college admissions process. High School Student Intern Qualifications: •(1) be 15 years old by December 31, 2022; •(2) be currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at a high school in Alameda, Contra Costa, or San Francisco County; •(3) be a US citizen, permanent resident or DACA recipient; •(4) have a GPA of at least 2.5 and passed Algebra 1 and Biology; •Qualified students must apply online by March 24, 2023
